Product description
Beautiful green Art Deco cake stand by Luxval Val St Lambert, made in the 1930s. The dessert plate is made of pressed crystal and features a beautiful geometric Art Deco pattern.
Pressed green crystal glass from the 1930s. This glass serving dish has a diameter of 34.8 cm and is 11.2 cm high. There are some bubbles in the glass. This is normal, as they form during the cooling process. The glass cake stand is in good vintage condition, with a small chip on the rim (approximately 1 mm, see photo).
In 1935, Val Saint Lambert launched a full line of pressed glassware under the name Luxval. This consisted of glass bowls and vases in Art Deco style. Val Saint Lambert (VSL) is the first glass factory in Belgium, founded in 1826.
