Product description
This is a pair of Art Deco bookends with seated owls, made of Italian alabaster.
They are hand-carved from alabaster with a two-tone, marbled finish.
A label on the bottom reads:
"Genuine Alabaster
Handcarved
Made in Italy".
The owls have inset eyes, probably made of glass or plastic.
They date from the early 20th century.
They are in beautiful vintage condition; see all photos.
Due to their weight (over 1700 grams combined), they are suitable for supporting books.
