We are selling a table lamp from the transition from Art Deco to Bauhaus from the 1920s or 1930s, which is extremely rare to find, especially in this state of preservation. It is attributed as an early design by the Bauhaus artist Marianne Brandt.
The lamp is in excellent condition and only has a small dent in the base. The Bakelite of the shade and stand is flawless. The lampshade is adjustable and holds any position you tilt it to.
Of this lamp, which is very rare to find anyway, it is one of the very few examples where the Bakelite color of lampshade and lamp neck is exactly the same, where the brass ring is still present on the lampshade and the lampshade has not been replaced by any other shade.
The lamp has been carefully cleaned of decades of dirt, some call it "patina", and it has been rewired. Now this almost 100-year-old lamp shines again in new splendor.
