For sale is a table lamp, especially rare in this color scheme of nickel-plated brass and green Bakelite, dating from the transition between Art Deco and Bauhaus in the 1920s or 1930s. It is attributed to the Bauhaus artist Marianne Brandt as an early design.
The lamp is in excellent condition. The Bakelite of the shade and base is flawless. The lampshade is adjustable and holds any tilted position.
The lamp has been meticulously and gently cleaned of decades of accumulated grime and rewired. Now, this nearly 100-year-old lamp shines like new.
