Extremely rare poster from recently discovered dead stock, dedicated to the 1976 Art Basel contemporary art fair. This poster is indeed a historical piece from the largest contemporary art and design fair. It measures 63cm x 49cm and is made of thermoformed plastic. Some signs of wear (see photo). Art Basel is a private, for-profit contemporary art event held annually in Basel, Switzerland. Co-founded by Ernst Beyeler, Trudi Bruckner, and Balz Hilt, three Basel gallery owners, the first edition of the international exhibition "ART" opened in Basel on June 12, 1970.[1] Ninety art galleries from ten countries exhibited at the first edition, attracting over 16,000 visitors.
