A matching footstool for the iconic FD 164 armchair by Arne Vodder, designed for France & Søn and originating from the heyday of Danish modernism. A beautiful example of the understated elegance and refined craftsmanship for which Danish design from the 1960s is known. The FD 164 was designed by Arne Vodder, a student of Finn Juhl. His designs are characterized by organic forms, subtle details, and a strong balance between comfort and design. This footstool fits seamlessly with this: a carefully crafted teak frame with soft, rounded lines and an understated appearance. This piece has been completely refurbished and reupholstered in a high-quality, off-white furniture fabric. The teak frame has also been thoroughly inspected and refreshed, giving the footstool a neat and contemporary look once again, without losing the character of the original design. Naturally, the footstool combines beautifully with a matching FD 164 armchair, but it also looks excellent on its own as a stylish footstool or extra seat in a modern interior.
