A masterpiece of Danish design: this Arne Vodder desk, Model 209, was designed for Sibast in the early 1960s and is a rare example of craftsmanship and functionality. With its elegant L-shape and warm teak appearance, this desk is not only a workspace but a sculptural addition to any interior.
The design is meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. The asymmetrical layout combines a generous worktop with a floating sideboard, harmoniously integrating drawer units, filing space, and characteristic curved whiteboard drawers. The floating volumes, subtle edge details, and slender legs give the whole a light, almost architectural feel. The teak has a beautiful grain and showcases the craftsmanship for which Vodder and Sibast were renowned.
Both the desk and the sideboard are in perfect condition. The tops have recently been professionally lacquered, fully restoring the original luster and depth of the wood.
A rare, iconic piece for the true lover of Scandinavian design. There's only one of these.
