**Arne Jacobsen**
Arne Jacobsen was a Danish architect and designer, remembered for his contribution to architectural Functionalism. He achieved success with his simple but effective chair designs. Jacobsen was admitted to the Architecture School at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He won the C. F. Hansen Medal in 1955, and the year after winning the "House of the Future" award, Arne Jacobsen established his own office.
