The frame consists of a flexible laminated U-shape on casters. The outer layer consists of a black colored veneer where the grain structure of ash remains visible. The upholstery is a velour that shows barely any wear. The subtle but warm camel color iridescently in the light. The cushions are detachable and yet they remain nicely in place when in use due to the specific shapes of the cushions. The lining consists of a high-quality HR foam and shows no seat pits. The comfort is therefore soft but bouncy.
Rolling Pillows is an armchair that takes its place without being garish. Its rounded forms exude a calm familiarity similar to the creations of contemporary designers such as Faye Toogood and Vincent Van Duysen. The fabric, a velvety velour, exudes subtle luxury. Its soft surface captures light in a way that seems to bring the piece of furniture to life.
In an interior where natural materials and an organic aesthetic predominate, as with Ilse Crawford's serene designs, this armchair fits perfectly. No sharp corners or clean lines here, but a fluid form that seems to breathe with the space around it. The black U-frame, with its refined wood grains, adds a robust touch to the design. The unobtrusive casters provide practical flexibility without compromising aesthetics. This piece is made for a life on the move with functionality that remains stylish.
Evoking images of the Space Age - an era when humanity first reached for the stars - this armchair combines that futuristic vision with the soothing elements of contemporary, organic design. It is a rare and original vintage piece. Although this armchair exhibits the typical Space Age forms, it is an object that seems to evolve with the space around it, just as the best designs do.
light signs of use, but still in very good condition.
