Hello everyone,
For sale is a beautiful and rare mid-century lounge chair. The high-backed chair was part of a set of three chairs, including two low-backed armchairs (the two low-backed armchairs are not for sale).
As far as can be determined, all the chairs were designed by the renowned Danish designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen for France & Søn in the 1960s, during the mid-century era. This is evident from the original "France & Søn" medallions on the wooden frames of the low-backed armchairs. All the chairs were purchased together with a coffee table by France & Daverkosen from Behr in Stuttgart.
Details: Designer: Arne Hovmand-Olsen • Manufacturer: France & Søn, Denmark • Material: Solid teak, upholstered in aniline leather. Period: Mid-century. Signs of wear are shown in the photos. The leather is free of tears and fully functional.
