The lamp and the base are easily detachable and attached to each other with two Allen bolts.
Condition: the arc is undamaged. The base has a few scratches.
Yumi means arc in Japanese. Yumi by Shigeru Ban emits a warm, downward-directed glow. It is a distinctive design, but not conspicuously visible.
Shigeru Ban (Tokyo, 1957) is a Japanese architect and designer. In 1985, he founded Shigeru Ban Architects. He is the designer of, among others, the Nicolas G. Hayek Center, the Centre Pompidou-Metz, and the Oita Prefecture Art Museum. Ban was, among other things, a professor at Keio University and a visiting professor at Harvard University and Cornell University. He has won dozens of awards. He was also an advisor to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
