This impressive set of antique apothecary cabinets represents a rare piece of commercial history from the early twentieth century. Crafted from solid oak, these cabinets embody the robust and functional aesthetic of the Art Deco period, designed to bring both order and elegance to a classic pharmacy setting.
The construction displays traditional craftsmanship with dozens of small drawers, each fitted with original wooden knobs and enameled label holders bearing the Latin names of the original contents. The cabinets are finished with a marble top, providing a durable and hygienic working surface. The warm, brown tone of the oak contrasts beautifully with the cool, grey veining of the marble. Inside, some drawers still reveal the original metal inserts and dividers, attesting to their authentic provenance.
