A special desk lamp by the Dutch brand Anvia (Algemene Nederlandse Verlichtingsindustrie Almelo), a renowned lighting manufacturer founded in 1933. Although Anvia is primarily known for its elegant and functional designs from the 1950s and 60s, the brand experimented with more playful and bold design styles in the 1980s.
This lamp is a beautiful example of that. The design features a geometric shape with clean lines and striking use of red, black, and yellow. The style is clearly inspired by the iconic Memphis Group, founded by Ettore Sottsass in Italy. The result is a lamp that is not only functional but also serves as a sculptural design object.
This model is relatively rare and beloved among collectors of postmodern and Dutch design.
