Beautiful old manual coffee grinder by Zassenhaus, crafted from wood with a brass bean hopper, metal crank, and wooden handle. On the front is the original metal nameplate featuring a lion and the text R.Z. Zassenhaus – Garantierte Ware – Geschmiedetes Mahlwerk. The coffee grinder has a beautifully weathered appearance. The wooden casing features dovetail joints, and at the bottom is the original drawer for collecting the ground coffee. The opening at the top of the brass reservoir is intended for filling with coffee beans. Likely dating from the period circa 1925-1935. A beautiful authentic object for an enthusiast of old coffee grinders, Zassenhaus, or as a decorative item in a kitchen or coffee corner. In original vintage condition with clear signs of use and a patina appropriate for its age. See photos.
