Antique wool Persian Bokhara rug with a grey-brown pattern. An antique Persian rug from the Uzbekistani city of Bokhara, also known as Bukhara. Rugs like this are a wonderful way to add atmosphere to your home. The rug looks good in various interior styles and immediately creates a warm feeling. The grey-brown rug is made of wool and is richly decorated with various motifs and patterns. Although Uzbekistan is not originally located in Persia – present-day Iran – Persian craftsmanship traditions have nevertheless spread to Bokhara. As a result, the motifs sometimes deviate slightly from classic Persian patterns, but due to the method of construction and the use of materials, we still refer to this type of rug as a Persian carpet. The rug has a few small, inconspicuous yellowed spots and the tassels are somewhat discolored; however, considering its age, the item is still in good antique condition!
