Product description
Antique wooden dowry chest from India or Rajasthan, banded with metal and mounted on (functional) casters. Its arched lid is adorned with two heavy engraved metal locks, riveted straps with embossed borders, and scalloped edges. The front is decorated with rosette-shaped studs. It rests on wooden wheels concealed behind profiled wooden panels. In original condition, with natural patina and age-related metal oxidation.
