A characteristic, authentic antique Spanish chest of drawers (also known as a Catalan Cómoda). This piece of furniture is a beautiful example of craftsmanship, presumably dating from the 19th century.
The cabinet is executed in a rustic Baroque style and is in excellent vintage condition. It is a heavy, solid piece of furniture that will last for generations.
Features of authenticity:
Material: Fully crafted from solid wood (walnut/oak) with a magnificent deep patina.
Craftsmanship: The drawers feature the original, coarse hand-carved dovetail joints.
Back panel: Authentic hand-planed wide plank, confirming the age of the piece.
Details: Fitted with beautiful, original hand-forged iron pendulum handles (fittings) on the drawer fronts with geometric paneling.
