Elegant silver-plated sugar spoon with a floral motif on the top of the handle. On the back, there is a stamped hallmark featuring a crossed sword and knife and the letters 'l b'. I have not been able to locate this exact hallmark, but my research indicates that it is certainly European, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Made in Germany or the Netherlands. The decorations on the handle feature Art Nouveau details, an art movement that ran from approximately 1880 to 1914. Hence, I date this spoon to around the 1910s. The spoon is still in very good condition, but does show some patina.
