Product description
Siheyuan stool with a hand-woven light rattan seat, and dark aged wood frame with origins in traditional Chinese seating. One available.
“Siheyuan” (四合院) refers to the traditional Chinese courtyard-house layout, where small portable stools were associated with courtyard tea-setting traditions. The construction and proportions strongly relate to Chinese folk / primitive furniture.
The low profile, square woven top and dark weathered wood make this an especially interesting low footstool or decorative accent. Can also be used as a small plant stand or display stand.

Condition:
Vintage condition with patina surface wear and natural irregularities to the wooden frame consistent with age and use. Seat and frame completely intact and sturdy. Please study all photographs carefully.
