This original antique set of weights originates from a pharmacy, laboratory, or trade setting and is housed in its original solid wood box with a hinged lid and metal hinges. Such boxes were used for the precise weighing of substances and were an integral part of professional workspaces.
The interior of the box is meticulously crafted and displays the original arrangement for multiple units of weight. It contains several original metal weights, clearly marked with gram increments (including 500 g, 200 g, 100 g, and smaller units).
The set is incomplete, which is very common with authentic work sets of this age.
