Beautiful, authentic set of two antique landscape prints (high-quality lithographs) in their original wooden frames. The prints depict atmospheric, romantic nature scenes by the renowned German artist Hermann Wunderlich (1839-1915): one with an idyllic stone bridge and one with a blossoming tree by the water's edge. Unique historical detail: The backs are still fully sealed in their original state with newspaper strips from the 1930s. The exact date March 3, 1934, is legible on the back ("Berijmde Weekkroniek"). This gives the set a wonderful historical provenance and proves that the framing is over 90 years old. Specifications: Artist: Hermann Wunderlich (signed bottom left) Date: March 1934 Dimensions: approx. 55 cm x 30 cm per frame Condition: In very good antique condition. The paper has a beautiful, light age patina. The wooden frames show minimal signs of wear consistent with their age. No water damage (the light spot in some photos is purely the reflection of the glass). Perfect for a country, classic, or cottagecore interior. Sold only as a set of two.
