Product description
Large old repoussé chest made of pine wood and clad in brass. The chest features detailed relief images, depicting an old scene from daily life surrounded by trees and floral decoration on the sides. This chest was used as a coal bin or hearth chest to store logs, first half of the 20th century.
This chest shows a scene from the terrace of an old tavern; the image is on the front of the chest as well as on the lid, and the whole piece bears a beautiful patina of age.
This object is in good condition, with signs of age and use appropriate for its age, such as dents and discoloration of the brass. Check the photos for more details!
