Antique bookcase made of solid oak, likely crafted around 1890–1910. The cabinet features two doors with beveled glass and closed panels at the bottom. At the top is a wide cornice with wood carving, characteristic of furniture from this period (Neo-Renaissance style).
The cabinet was originally intended as a bookcase or display cabinet. The glass protects the contents from dust while allowing books or tableware to remain visible. Inside, there are multiple shelves.
Beveled glass was a modern technique around the turn of the century and gave furniture a more luxurious appearance at the time.
