Product description
Miniature replica of a fully restored 19th-century walnut chest of drawers. Ideal for use as a jewelry box or pocket organizer.
The 2 drawers bear a small burn mark. These marks were commonly made on furniture in the 18th and 19th centuries and were apotropaic signs intended to ward off bad luck. The entire piece has been stripped and treated, the drawer bottoms replaced and then oiled and waxed to restore the old patina. The drawer knobs were replaced.
