Impressive and authentic antique wooden statue of the Virgin Mary (Immaculata), dating from circa 1880-1910. This finely modeled devotional statue is approximately 80 cm tall and comes from an ecclesiastical workshop of the late 19th century, likely in France or Belgium. The Madonna is depicted in a serene praying posture, dressed in a blue and white robe with original polychrome painting and gilded details, and crowned with an original metal star wreath. The gentle facial expression, natural drapery, and balanced proportions are characteristic of high-quality religious sculpture from around the turn of the century. The statue is offered in its original, unrestored condition and shows visible signs of age, such as paint wear, craquelé, and patina.
