Unique and authentic maritime diorama of the sailing ship "Cherokee," based in Boston, beautifully presented in a glass display case with wooden frame. This completely handmade model, probably manufactured around 1900, shows a classic three-masted sailing ship in full sail on a suggested, undulating sea, painted in a naive and charming style.
The combination of the realistically rendered ship with the stylized sea surface makes this piece a true diorama - a three-dimensional scene that is both decorative and historically significant.
