Product description
Small display plate with a short foot, antique ironstone from the Longchamp pottery, polychrome "Daisies" pattern, very rare, late 19th/early 20th century, circa 1890-1910. Magnificent romantic Art Nouveau bucolic decoration of daisies, foliage, grasses, and scrolls in dark pink transfer, delicately hand-embellished with shades of fuchsia pink, mauve, nuanced green, yellow, and brown. The rim is slightly scalloped and slightly upturned, with a short foot. The exterior/underside is undecorated. 23.5 cm in diameter, 5 cm high. Very good overall condition for its age; however, there is a small chip on the rim, 9 mm x 1 cm, quite discreet. Approximately 550 g.
