Magnificent and rare large antique earthenware dish from the Longchamp factory, "Marguerites" pattern, in an Art Nouveau style, late 19th/early 20th century, circa 1890-1910. Beautiful naturalistic floral decoration of large daisies, cornflowers, grasses, and foliage, printed in sepia and then delicately hand-colored with shades of yellow, blue, green, and brown. The slightly polylobed rim is highlighted with a fine double border in raspberry and black.
29 cm in diameter and 4 cm high. In very good overall condition for its age; there are only a few very light and discreet cutlery marks on the base and a tiny chip in the glaze on the rim, barely visible. Approximately 700g.
