This antique vase from Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland is a striking example of the Dutch ceramic tradition. The design features a rich, symmetrical pattern characteristic of early twentieth-century decorative arts, in which floral and geometric motifs flow seamlessly into one another.
Crafted from ceramic, the vase is finished with a multicolored glaze in which deep blue, warm orange, and earthy green tones predominate. The underside is clearly marked with the well-known house emblem, the name 'Zuid-Holland', and the model number, confirming its authenticity and origin in Gouda. The classic baluster shape with a flared neck and a sturdy base gives the object a stately appearance.
The vase is in good condition befitting its age. Over the years, the glaze has developed an authentic craquelé, which contributes to the historical character of the piece.
