Exceptional antique kerosene lamp, presumably dating from circa 1890–1915.
The lamp features a richly decorated ceramic reservoir with raised floral motifs and an elegant Rococo-style metal base. The burner is marked P&A Mfg Co., and the original tall glass chimney is present.
The combination of ceramic, patinated metal, and the romantic floral decoration makes this a striking and atmospheric interior object. Beautiful as a decorative table lamp, on a mantelpiece, side table, or in a classic, eclectic, or maximalist interior.
The lamp is in authentic, used condition with signs consistent with its age. The metal shows patina, discoloration, and localized oxidation. Wear and minor damage are visible on the ceramic floral decoration. The glass chimney is intact. Please examine the photos carefully for the exact condition.
The operation of the burner and the leak-tightness of the reservoir have not been tested. The lamp is therefore offered as an antique decorative object. Due to its fragility, pickup is preferred. Shipping may be possible upon consultation, in which case the glass chimney will be packed separately.
