Antique Frisian silver Chatelaine, dating from the early 19th century. This beautiful Dutch silver Chatelaine was made in Friesland. The needle case likely bears the maker's mark of Pieter Schmitz from Leeuwarden. The scissors bear the maker's mark of Pieter Cool from Sneek. No date stamps have been found, suggesting it was made before 1814. The silver holder for the needle cushion is missing some of its decoration.
