Product description
A beautiful, antique French jewelry box, very heavy, made of patinated copper-plated metal, shaped like a table, with a hinged lid and a central medallion depicting a Greek-style female figure. Marked and numbered on the bottom: "Depose 410," France, circa turn of the century.
Elaborately decorated with ribbons, leaves, flowers, and recurring patterns, the interior is lined with a fuchsia tufted fabric. The object has a beautiful patina due to its age.
The jewelry box is in good, but heavily used, antique condition. The lining shows heavy wear and is largely loose. There are signs of age and use consistent with its age, such as discoloration of the gold plating. However, the object still looks very good. Please see the photos for more details!
