Very refined antique porcelain pastry set by the prestigious German manufacturer Fraureuth (Saxony).
The set exudes the classic elegance of the late 19th / early 20th century (made between 1891 and 1926) and is in beautiful condition.
The set is crafted from high-quality white porcelain with an ornate, scalloped rim. The front is decorated with a fine-meshed pattern of green floral garlands and finished with a subtle gold rim.
The set, inherited from the first owners, consists of:
1 Large serving platter / cake stand with elegant openwork handles (fully marked with the Fraureuth crown stamp, decor number, and painter's number 63).
Added: 11 Matching pastry/dessert plates (all identical on the front). Internal factory markings (for the collector):
The underside shows that the set was finished at the factory by two master painters to achieve this number (a so-called 'marriage set').
6 plates bear the painter's number 63 (an exact match with the large bowl).
5 plates bear the painter's number 16.
Additionally, several plates feature the authentic blind (pressed) model numbers in the porcelain.
All plates have their original luster. No chips or cracks. The gold and decorations are still in very beautiful condition, considering their age of over 100 years.
A unique possession for the lover of antique European quality porcelain, perfect for a chic high tea or as a display piece.
