Product description
This earthenware pot from Moldova dates from circa 1850 and is a beautiful example of traditional Eastern European folk pottery. The pot has a robust, round shape with a subtly tapering neck and a characteristic handle, making it both functional and decorative. The deep dark, almost black fired clay has developed a rich patina over the years. The subtle signs of use and natural wear tell the story of an object that was part of daily life in the Moldovan countryside for generations.
