This antique Japanese vase from the early twentieth century is a refined example of the champlevé cloisonné technique. The object is distinguished by its detailed floral motifs and the characteristic dragon-shaped handles flanking the neck. The vase is crafted from bronze and decorated with multicolored enamel in shades of blue, green, red, and white, set in cut copper or bronze cells. The surface displays a complex geometric background against which the organic floral and leaf motifs stand out sharply. The warm, dark patina of the metal contrasts beautifully with the vibrant colors of the enamel. The object is in good, authentic condition befitting its age.
