Product description
This is an original antique Dutch Delft-style ceramic tile, hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed surface. The front features a traditional genre scene depicting a seated seamstress sewing, a classic motif from the 17th–18th century Netherlands. The corners are decorated with delicate blue floral designs. The reverse shows an old maker’s mark impressed into the clay, along with signs of age consistent with historical Delft tiles, including patina, firing marks, and minor edge wear. The tile has a thick earthenware body and retains its authentic handmade character. A fine decorative piece suitable for collectors of Delftware, antique ceramics, or historic European tiles. Can be displayed on a stand or mounted. Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear; no modern restoration visible. Approximate Period: 17th–18th century (Delftware tradition) Material: Tin-glazed earthenware
