Product description
A beautiful antique travel trunk with a domed lid, constructed of wood and reinforced with a network of blackened metal bands, corner brackets, and fittings. Its two clasps on the front and its robust construction evoke 19th-century transport trunks. Highly decorative, it can be used for storage, as a bedside chest, or as a low side table. The warm patina of the wood contrasts with the dark and irregular appearance of the fittings. It is in antique condition with numerous signs of age: dents, cracks, wear, oxidation, and old repairs. The blackened metal fittings enhance its authentic character.
