This antique Chinese sideboard, also known as a 'High Buddha Desk', is a striking piece of furniture with a rich history. The design is characterized by refined woodcarving and distinctive Oriental styling that immediately catches the eye.
The sideboard is crafted from wood and finished in a deep black color, combined with warm red and brown accents in the carved panels. The front features two drawers with traditional metal fittings. The detailed floral and geometric motifs in the woodcarving attest to authentic craftsmanship. A certificate from Hu & Hu Antiques in Shanghai (2005) confirms the age and provenance of this special piece.
The furniture is in good condition befitting its considerable age. The wood displays an authentic patina, and the original finish contributes to the historical character of the sideboard.
