An authentic antique Chinese palanquin (sedan chair), dating from approximately 1880–1930 (late Qing period / early Republic era).
Traditionally used for transporting passengers carried by bearers, often during ceremonies or by wealthy travellers.
This example is constructed entirely of wood with hand-crafted iron fittings and decorative lattice panels. It retains its original carrying poles and includes a set of old wooden transport wheels with axle.
The piece shows beautiful age-related patina and wear, adding to its historical character and decorative appeal.
