Rare, small, hand-knotted rug from the South Caucasus, with a bold geometric design and a distinct graphic appearance. The almost square format suggests a functional textile object—probably used as a cushion, saddle, or ritual rug.
The color palette consists of deep indigo, warm brown-gray, and natural sand tones. The wool has a beautiful, weathered patina, authentically showcasing the handiwork and age. The central cross motif and surrounding geometric symbols give the piece an almost modern, abstract character.
