Enhance your interior with this beautiful heritage piece: an antique solid bronze candlestick, combining the prestige of the noble material with the refined elegance of a 19th-century romantic sculpture.
♥ This piece depicts a young woman with a basket of flowers, a graceful allegorical theme typical of the Napoleon III style. It rests on a rocaille base with flowing, vegetal forms, ideal for adding an authentic touch to a mantelpiece, sideboard, or console table.
♥ Technical details:
● Material: Solid bronze, a beautiful, substantial object offering excellent stability.
● Weight: 1.235 kg.
● Height: 29 cm.
● Base: Approximately 15 x 15 cm.
● Diameter of the candle holder: 2.5 cm, the standard size.
⚜️ Origin: Louis XV / Napoleon III style. The foundry mark "B 86" is engraved under the base, a classic numbering system used by art workshops of the period.
♥ Condition: Good overall condition. The gilt finish has been refreshed in the past, giving it a beautiful shine. Note that the patina has some localized cracking (particularly on the lower part of the base, see detailed photos), revealing the original bronze, which attests to its age and authenticity.
