Elegant Belgian Art Nouveau ceramic vase produced by the renowned Pottenbakkerij Maes in Torhout, dating around 1900–1910. This piece features a slender, organic shape with a swollen neck, characteristic of the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau periods. The vase is decorated with a rich, glossy drip glaze (glaçure flambée) transitioning from deep chocolate brown at the base to olive green and mustard tones near the rim. The underside is impressed with model number "17" and stamped "Belgium", indicating an original export piece from the period. Cette pièce présente une forme élancée et organique avec un col renflé, très typique de la période Arts & Crafts et Art Nouveau. Le vase est revêtu d'une riche glaçure flambée brillante (drip glaze) passant d'un brun chocolat profond à la base vers des nuances vert olive et moutarde au niveau du col. Le dessous porte le numéro de modèle "17" ainsi que l'empreinte "Belgium", témoignant d'une production originale destinée à l'exportation de l'époque.
