Beautiful, original antique pendant lamp in the iconic Holophane style, dating from the 1920s / 1930s (Art Deco). This beloved 'skirt/frill' lamp is made of very thick, heavy clear pressed glass with the characteristic vertical prism ribs. The underside of the shade has a gracefully wavy edge and a frosted finish, creating a beautiful diffused and warm light without glare. Unique authentic detail: The interior still features the original antique brass bayonet fitting (B22) with the authentic copper spring clip that holds the shade firmly in place. The lamp hangs from a matching, robust metal link chain. Features: * Style: Original Art Deco / Industrial antique. * Material: Thick prismatic pressed glass, brass fitting, chrome-plated/nickel-plated fixture. * Dimensions: Beautiful compact model, ideal for the hallway, kitchen, or above a small table. * Condition: In very beautiful, pristine vintage condition. No chips or cracks in the glass. No markings are legible anymore, which is typical of its age and historical use. The wiring is original (advice: please check before use or modernize if desired; B22 LED bulbs are readily available online everywhere these days).
