This collection of six antique African stools
unites traditional craftsmanship from the Bamileke, Oromo, and Senufo peoples. The collection captivates with its authentic design and the profound cultural significance inherent in each piece.
Each stool is crafted from solid wood and testifies to the masterful carving skills of its respective region. The surfaces display a rich, natural patina in warm brown tones. A particular highlight is the stool with intricate metal inlays forming geometric patterns. The organic forms and robust construction reflect the original use and deep connection to the material.
The stools are in good, age-appropriate condition. The visible patina, fine cracks in the wood, and worn edges tell the story of their long use and lend them a distinctive character. The structural integrity of all pieces has been preserved.
This collection integrates beautifully into an eclectic or organically modern interior. As sculptural objects on a sideboard or as small side tables, they create striking accents and bring a touch of global history into the living space.
The largest stool has a diameter of 30 cm and a height of 21 cm. As you can see, they are small decorative objects. The collection was started around 1950.
