An elegant antique leg of lamb carving set presented in its original box from Coutellerie Centrale C. Plassard in Paray-le-Monial. This set brings together the three traditional pieces essential for grand dining tables: a carving knife, a serving fork, and a leg holder with a clamping system that holds the piece of meat during carving. It was manufactured in the first half of the 20th century, circa 1920 to 1940. The silver-plated handles feature a refined Louis XVI style decoration, finely chased with bows, garlands, and acanthus scrolls, which gives the set a noble and timeless appeal. The steel blades have retained their authenticity with a beautiful antique patina. The knife shows superficial oxidation and signs of use consistent with its age, while the box, clad in golden-yellow satin and marked with the Plassard company monogram, retains all its charm despite some marks of time. The hallmarks could not be identified with certainty. The set is therefore offered as silver-plated metal, with the metal attribution to be confirmed, in accordance with the customs of the antique market.
