Original etching | Edition 3/5 A special and rare original etching by the Dutch artist Anneke van der Mandele (1938), titled *Boerenbedrog* (Farmers' Deception) from 1970. It is a hand-signed and numbered etching (3/5), meaning that only five prints of this edition were made. The print is executed in a powerful surrealist visual language and belongs to the artist's early oeuvre. The composition depicts an intriguing interplay between man and animal, with a central pig bearing a red quality mark. The title *Boerenbedrog* refers to societal themes such as agriculture, consumption, and the relationship between humans and animals.
