Ancient Chinese Calligraphy Brush – Wooden Handle with Carving – Bone – Animal Hair (Horse)
Origin & History
These types of brushes were traditionally used for Chinese calligraphy, painting, or as decorative pieces in a study ("writing room pieces").
This unique calligraphy brush originates from China and is at least 20 years old, possibly older. I have owned it for over two decades; given the material and the style of the carving, it was made considerably earlier.
