Product description
Vintage anatomical torso model with removable internal organs, showing the musculature on one half and the skin on the other. Made in the German Democratic Republic and attributed to the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden (GDR label present), c. 1950s-1960s, as a school and medical teaching aid.
Hand-painted composition material (plaster-based) on a metal base. The model retains its original hand-painted finish with fine anatomical detailing; the removable organs are complete and fit precisely into the torso. A striking example of post-war East German scientific modelling.
Condition: Very good vintage condition, minor professional retouching to paint.
Dimensions: H 78 x W 32 x D 26 cm. Weight approx. 10-12 kg.
