A unique and exceptional piece. This table comes directly from eastern France; it was a special order, custom-made for the Villeroy & Boch workshops in Moselle in the 1960s. This workbench was used, among other things, to manufacture tile sheets. It combines industrial heritage with radical design, and when I found it, I immediately envisioned its potential.
It was then restored as a very large coffee table.
Its rosewood veneer structure and cubic volumes have been reinterpreted in a "Mondrian" style, using high-end glass to highlight its lines and create integrated storage spaces (one compartment closes, the other does not).
Its restoration was designed to preserve its character: the veneer intentionally retains its signs of use and its original patina, testaments to its history as a workbench. See photos.
A sculptural and functional piece, ready to become the centerpiece of a unique interior.

Dimensions: L2.31 meters / D60.5 cm / H49 cm (mostly) and 54.5 cm high at the niche with the door.
