An excellent sculpture by the Hungarian-born Austrian artist Alfred Hrdlicka (February 27, 1928 – December 5, 2009, Vienna).
The sculpture has a monumental effect. A block of stone from which a man is freeing himself. Still partially trapped in the stone, but half-liberated. The sculptor as creator.
